We are calling for proposals in the IEEE CTSoc GEM 2022 Industry Session.

Proposals should be focused on one of the 14 topics in our three Pillars: Technology, Industry Verticals, and Ethics & Privacy Issues, with a total of eight Industry Sessions.

You may also propose your own topic for consideration, as long as it is related to GEM technologies. All submissions are sought on the latest technical and business issues in GEM.

Proposals can be presentations, lectures/tutorials, demos, success stories, or panel group discussions. Each proposal should expect to be seventy minutes in duration. Panel groups will consist of a moderator and 3 to 4 speakers that have industry and/or academic expertise in the topical area. Each discussion will be followed by a Q&A period, but other schemes are also possible. The preferred proposal file format is or PDF. For submissions, please submit the initial version of the presentation that includes the following information:

  • Title for the proposed presentation and the Category/Topic

  • Name, affiliation, and email address of the proposed speaker

  • A brief biography of the speaker

  • An abstract of the proposed presentation that clearly outlines the main topic, the goals, and the key takeaways for the audience

  • Outline and Content of the presentation (Draft) 

Submission Procedure

Proposals should be submitted by either June 30, 2022, for Round 1 submissions or August 24, 2022, for Round 2 submissions. Round 1 acceptance notifications will be by July 31, 2022, and Round 2 notifications will be by September 14, 2022. Final presentations and registrations should be done by August 24, 2022, for Round 1 submissions, and October 19, 2022, for Round 2 submissions.
